The 4th Annual Run with the Cops 5k and 1/4 mile kids’ fun run start and finish at the Railroad Museum in Old Sacramento.

Race Day Registration: 7:00 – 8:30 am
Kids’ 1/4 mile (ages 11 & under): 8:10 am
5k Run/Walk: 8:30 am sharp!

Custom T-shirt, participants die-cast medals, refreshments, music, awards, random prizes, digital race timing by Rich Hanna and Capital Road Race Mgmt. If registering after September 1, you will not be guaranteed a race t-shirt in your size.

Age Divisions

12 & under, 13-15, 16-18, 19-29, 30-39, 10yr. increments to 80+.  This is a stroller-friendly event. Strollers will need to start at the back of the pack.


Awards ceremony to follow the event at 9:45 a.m. Prizes for overall winners and top three finishers in each age division. All participants will receive finishers die cast medals. First place boy and girl in Kids Fun Run receive plaques.

Ace Award

Each year we will award a $100 Amazon gift card to the participant who finishes exactly in the middle of the pack in honor of K9 Ace.  Read his story on the ACE AWARD page. Click Here

Packet Pickup

You may pick up your race packet  10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Fleet Feet Sports (2311 J Street, Sacramento) on Friday, September 13, 2019. You can also pick up your race packet on the race morning starting at 7:00 a.m.


There is a very large parking structure directly across the street from the Railroad Museum in Old Sac.


Due to the fact that several “working K9 officers” will be participating in the event and city restrictions, we cannot allow any pets on the course. Please do not bring pets.
